Questions & Answers
-
Can I change a page after I published it?
-
Are my stories owned by Tale Snail?
100% no! The stories and pages you write are your property. Tale Snail is a platform that facilitates story tellers, we do not own your content. We do, however, reserve the right to distribute your content as we see fit. This helps us (and you) reach new audiences.
-
Are any of the stories on Tale Snail written by AI?
We cannot control how people write their tales so generally speaking no. The goal of Tale Snail is shared story telling. If a creator makes a story using AI then that's their prerogative. The quality of such work will speak for itself. Tale Snail does make use of artificial intelligence, but not to make stories. We use it to enhance your audio and visual experiences.

How do I begin making a story?
- The first step is to create a free account or, if you already have an account, login.
- Once you are logged in, click on the Your Bookcase link from the main menu.
- At the top of this page will be a big grey button labeled "Make New Story". Click it and you're ready to rock.
-
How do I contribute to a story?
- The first step is to create a free account or, if you already have an account, login.
- Go to any of the pages of the story for which you wish to contribute.
- At the bottom of the page you'll see green button labeled "Contribute". Click this to add a page to the story.
You will have a fixed amount of time to complete your page. This limit ensures that no one can hold up the queue.
If the original author did not allow the story to be extended, there won't be a "Contribute" button.
-
Can I add pages to my own story?
Yes, absolutely. The original author (you) can add pages to their story the same way others do. Follow these steps:
- First, login to your account.
- Go to any of the pages of the story for which you wish to contribute.
- At the bottom of the page you'll see green button labeled "Contribute". Click this to add a page to the story.
If you did not allow the story to be extended, the "Contribute" button won't appear.
We do plan on making it simpler for original authors to add pages, but at this point that's how it's done.
